2009 Round Up

As we head on full speed into 2010 let’s take a look back into 2009 for some of the much loved products that we just cannot live without in 2010.

1. An all natural skin care experience that I wish I knew about several years aback.

2. These fine ladys from ETSY that have made my year of nature living a breeze.

a. Sapobubble- This lady comes in first place with her lovely body butters, Soap, Parfume Creams and Anointing oils fit for an Egyptian Goddess, her scent take you back in time with and modern twist like no other. I look forward to what she has in store for 2010. Fave product of all time from this seller all of them every single one of them hold a special part in my Scented heart and I just cannot pick one sorry.

b. Eleneetyha- The soap lady, her blends are of majestic quality with their healing ability to lift any spirit in the bath, pure joy she bring with her ever changing menu of natural good organic soap with the highest quality in oil, butter and essence. If I have to say what soap that I could not live without from Chant it is her new Frankincense Co2 soap that sold out in a week, and the Sandalwood Vetiver Rose Guest Soap with champaca flower that sold out as well. Well that is two but trust me if you know Chant soaps like I know Chant soaps (FYI I have a box of Chant soap under my bed and I cut each soap into four) that was very hard for me to just choose one.

c. Lilsprout- Candles they say set the mood and this lovely lady has a whole lot of mood setters with many blends for different mood shifting scents, whether it be romance, healing, or plain old I just like how that smell she has it. Candles to die for are Frankincense and Myrrh, Patchouli rose and Candy Cane Lane.

d. Darcys Botanical- Darcy has my hair care on lock, her heart is big and that says a lot in my book and her products speaks for them self. Her New Twisting Cream is lovely.

3. Book of 2009 will have to be Twilight and New Moon gots to love it.

4. Movie that I watch many times will have to go to Twilight.

5. Blogs that intrigue me, too many to list.

I wish you all the best for the upcoming year, and may your hearts be open and your minds free.
HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR

Eleneetha's CHANT

Ring the alarm, tell it on the mountains, and shout it from the roof top chant soaps are in the house. I love this lady soap she sure does know how to make a good bar of soap that smells delightful, enchanting and whimsical. Fairy tale soap definitely eye candy how could you resist ,the looks of these soaps alone draws you in, then the scents steals your soul, the lather comfort your heart and your ever desire to ecstasy. Yes soap porn, with a sale without a sale this woman soap are a steal so do not hesitate because they change monthly and I think that is one of the reason I am drawn to her site because nothing is set in stone and it opens your mind to change. Meaning if you always buy a lavender soap from Tom every month this is not the case if you see something u like grab it because it may not show its head until next year or never.

Cyber Monday sale buy one get one how yea, grab grab grab and think later my heart skip a beat when I saw the announcement I tried to be modest and decided to leave some for other buyers. Drum roll for the lineup please.

Keeping it Mellow

As the days cool my preference in scent mellows out with the days, as of lately I am burning my incense and candles trying to clear my space, mind and heat for the upcoming new year there are a lot of things that I would like to accomplish for this upcoming year some that I am ashamed to say on my blog, but I think it’s time to get rid of all my fears and step out and take chances.

I love to the skin scents for the cold months, loving frankincense and myrrh soap, loving my rose, patchouli and chine’s herb incense that I am burning and my Frank and Myrrh candle. I need to really get into my meditation for the New Year as well.

Keeping it mellow layering mild scents that does not knock your socks off but delights you with lite wafers reminding you that it’s still there at times, today is one of those days for the past week it’s been like that for me I lotion with a rose and sandalwood scented body butter that is very lite then apply a to the skin Parfume balm, and then a splash of Khamsa eau Fraiche Parfume to my clothing.

1. For my solid I am enjoying Jalali Cream Parfume and these are the notes from the site Made in a base of Ecosoya soy wax and sweet almond oil, Jalali paints a dense, woodsy, resinous portrait, with notes of Himalayan cedarwood, ho wood, muhuhu, oakmoss, pink peppercorn and mountain misery. The scent is intoxicating and lasts forever. It smells wonderful on women, but absolutely devastating on men. Need I say more?

2. I received a sample of Khamsa eau Fraiche, these are the notes from the site a soft, ethereal green scent which evokes cool shade in summer, clear sparkling water and sun-warmed skin, and let me tell you it is divine, a soft scent that whispers.

MINT

As of lately mint is my scent, I love the way it smells mixed with other lovely that compliments its fresh beauty. As I type I have a sample of a coco mint soap using and it smells so so good, I had to order a bar its gives my body a cooling sensation when applied and the aroma wafers through the air like bake goods. I also am enjoying it in my scents as well and I have some mint candle on its way I think that is where it all stems from a sample of Gabriel aunt mint candle, it’s all coming back to me now.

What comforts you to bed at nights?

When I take a shower before bed it’s like a ritual I light a candle as soon as I get home from work in the evening so when I am ready for bed the scent of the candle is already at work, then I jump in the shower with one of my lovely handmade soap in hand, upon exiting the shower as soon as I dry off I apply a body butter or oil to moiste skin, and then for my comforting scent I apply Sapobubbles Hurrem Anointing Oil to my chest and neck and snuggle under my blanket. It hushes and rocks me to bed with its comfort and calming humming.

Mini Reviews

Fist off, I did get the soap from Chant on Friday so that review is landing soon, I have to take pictures and try again to upload on the site.

Shasta EsScents

I also got in the mail my Shasta EsScents sample set of five lovely smelly. Below is a description from Shasta EsSents ETSY shop and then follow with my take on the scent. Her descriptions are dead on. I also received a sample of her lavender body butter and it smells good and moisturizes my dry patches.

Wild Rose - simple and sublime. Turkish Rose Otto and
Wild Rose~ Roses for sure all kinds of roses like a lush rose garden in bloom.

Karmacita - Sweet Valencia orange with a warm patchouli & spice dry down~ A lovely blend for the not so patchouli lovers this one is very light on the patchouli.

Snow Blossom - Green and light as a crisp winter day~ I sample Snow Blossom as soon as I smelled it because I smelled mint; I don’t know what it is with me and mint these days.

Grand Coeur - Rich florals with a vintage mystique~ smells like something Victorian, something from a old black and white 17century movie.

Patchouli Amour - Earthy Vintage Patchouli. Reminiscent of Haight-Ashbury when I was a little girl! ~ Earthy Patchouli grounded and farces.

The Times are a Changing

We still have what you call good weather in Florida, some people might be saying when does it every get bad, yes I live in paradise. What made me appreciate Florida even more was my visit to North Carolina over Thanksgiving and that cold bit me in the rare like a bad virus. I am bracing and welcoming my miner chill that will be upon us in a few weeks, I welcome you with an open heart and a warm smile.

I took the most amazing picture last night of the sky with hues of blue and golden orange just beautiful and I hope I can get to share and upload it soon because my camera is not playing nice and hence why my pictures have been in hiatus.

For the holiday I have no idea what I will be doing, if I had my way I would like to go visit my mom but I have no time off from work and money is low, so I might go to Jacksonville and spend with my friends and godson or I might just stay home.

Things to come in the near future on this blog, let’s see more on my hair, mineral makeup review, skin care and my obsession with nature scents I never knew there are so many different EO, Attars, Resin, Absolute it’s amazing and I am just enjoying it. How the natural elements of Earth come together and sing melody’s of scents. People that wear and only know synthetic scents like my family and friends will smell me and go eww what are you wearing ,you see everyone knows when I have arrived because I smell unique, and I smell them and say the same thing what is that loud obnoxious smell booming from your body. I am at a point where I cannot even smell the ones that they lay on you in the department store. So my message on this blog is to let everyone know that there is an option, the sensitive one or the curious one.

That’s it for now and I am waiting on my package from Chat that should be here any day now, I actually draft the entry for it yesterday so when the soaps get in just to take pictures and describe the scent Soap Porn on its way. Happy Weekend

What Yaw Toting Around

It’s time for what’s in your bag

First off I need a new bag for work, hint hint to family, friend and love ones that read my blog you know who you are. Now on to the fun stuff I like small to medium size sling bags that I can put across my body and go. Fossil is a lover of mines, at the moment I am taking my blue fossil back with me to work but this is my weekend bag I am just too lazy these days to transfer back to my beat up bag that needs to be replaced. Let see what in my bag my weekend wallet that is so small and cute, lavender hand sanitizer by EO, Italian Mint lip balm by Skin Journey, 3 lip gloss by Fyrinnae don’t ask, Lush Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter that I use as an hand cream, Sapobubbles AKA Justine Crane Orabge Blossom everlasting mango perfume balm and trust everlasting it is, Pill box with vitamins, Ricola, a bunch of paper and no money.

Magickal Realism Perfume Arts

First off this seller have so many scents I was confused as to what to get, whenever I visited the website I would read reviews after review to get an idea as to what to try, but that was no help so when all ends failed I did what I knew best to do, one get something familiar and two get something different than what I already had in my growing collection, so therefore if I did not like the wild card I would sure to love the familiar scent. Guess what I loved both scents and I also got a bonus sugar scrub for myself in my order.

Vee- The wild card was very surprisingly different than what I loved to wear, at the time I sniff this I was sick and when I am sick I stay away from scent, even my most beloved patchouli I could not use because I was sick. Vee speaks with spices and warmth it’s a story line of True blood for all the True blood fans the Vee that Lafayette supplies around town to the feeble humans. In the Tube its very claying and sweet and I was like what does this have to do with blood but like the addict for Lafayette supply I could not put it down I find myself reaching for it at all times to either sniff or apply to my skin. On contact with my skin it warms up with cinnamon and ginger that are not listed on the site. Overall I like Vee and appreciate its company for the cold winter days.

Earth- Yes yet another patchouli scent what can I say I love patchouli I think it’s the scent on earth and I am a lover of nature and all this that come with it except lizard that haunts my soul in the yard. Sniffing Earth from the bottle it is very faint but I applied it to my skin the other day and at first I get very calm patchouli, shifts of vetiver and then I smell mint a very pretty mint mingling amongst the big players. This took me by surprise and I keep sniffing myself. Yet another hit on the patchouli fragrance.

Lavender and Spikenard Olive Oil Hand Scrub- All I do is sniff this stuff it smell very good not your typical lavender scent more dark floral and deep I guess the Spikenard lend a helping hand in the way this scent evolves.

Overall I had fun with Magickal Realism Perfume Arts and she is closed now for the month of December in preparation for her wedding, and will reopen in January. Her prices are not bad at all and she also had free shipping when I order, and my package was at my door step in speedy time.

I am Back

I am back from my trip to NC and yes I am a sick mess, man that place was cold but it seem like I was the only one feeling the blues because my cousins were in flip flops and not a sniffles in sight for them were as I was all buckled up in a sweater, scarf and coat. Well I still had fun, it was refreshing to be out of town for the holidays and it was enjoyable because my family is on some unknown substance for hilariously crazy people. Did a little cooking as yes my aunt did burn the turkey but it came out good, we did some shopping at my favorite spots, and I also got in on the action for some black Friday say at Darcy’s Botanical over at ETSY, and some cyber Monday shop at Chant and Sappobubbles. I got some shampoo bars from sweet cheeks I got the sample pack of 10 for $20 and I also got some stuff from Magickal Realism Perfume Arts to try out let’s see if I like those so I have a good amount of stuff coming my way to blog about.
