Terressentials Do's and Don'ts

For those that don't know what's Terressentails read HERE or HERE

Do Not

1. Do not get in the shower and wash your hair, apply mud to your hair out the shower in sections you can thank me later.

2. Get to know this new mud wash routine before trying to master it, do what works for you the first month or so and then ease into eliminating conditioners and leave-ins. If you are a trouper and can go without conditioner good for you.

3. When the mud is in your hair and your finish with your detangling do not put a shower cap over your hair. This is where the magic happens to help and lift the dirt, oil and butter from your scalp and hair you have to allow the mud to dry a little so let it sit for 30 min to an hour.

4. Keep in mind that for the first month or so your hair will be detoxing so it will not look its best or feel so good but keep at it, i know you can.

5. Try not to wash your hair with the mud every week more like every 3-4 weeks.

Please Do

1. Detangle and get out as much shed hair as possible before you wet hair and apply mud wash.

2. Make sure your hair is dripping wet before apply mud to hair this helps with slip and with detangling.

3. Apply mud to scalp and massage with the pads of your finger then apply to length of hair and detangle.

4. Try using all natural products in your hair, stay away from beeswax and glycerin. Use all natural organic if you can swing it and raw butters and oils. Use aloe gels, flax seed gels, also MM makes a few styling products that are top of the line. I love MM agave mist styling spritz for my flexi rod sets.

5. Rinse mud from the hair with warm (as hot as you can take it) water, and then rinse your hair with cold water.

6. Do an apple cider vinegar rinse every 3 months, this provides shine, bounce and remove build up for your hair. I like steeping herbs with my vinegar for extra nutrition to feed my scalp and hair. I apply this to my scalp massage in and then apply to the hair and let sit for 5 min and rinse, and then apply mud.

7. If you have damage hair and you know it get a trim, take a little off at a time until you are bubble and split end free. You will get to the point of hair so healthy you won't need to get trims as often or at all.

Winter Skin Care Intro

Just wanted to introduce two new handmade products that i have added to my winter skin care, i will do an overall post on my day to day products used in another post soon.

Cleansing Goo
Yes goo it's not sticky by any means but it does have honey in it so i am calling it goo because i like the word goo. It's like a cleansing balm well it is a cleaning balm but it's not hard to the touch it's gooey, soft and spreads like butter on my face. This feels so good on my skin it has good slip. I apply and massage it in to break up the grime of the day and my makeup, i don't wear full coverage makeup but it works like a charm to get all that stuff off my face at the end of the day.

Moisture Balm
My oils just could not get the job done i needed something heavy and something that will stay the day. It's a thick balm held together with shea butter, oils and beeswax i did add some rosewater to this but i will do without it next time.

The first night (hold up let start from the top my skin was dry, striping and just did not feel or look good), so the first night i used this power house combo on my skin i woke up the next morning and my skin was repair no joke just one night and the moisture level was back on track.

My skin was soft, supple and smooth.

Be Mindful

How to be mindful, being aware of each breath we take, a reminder to take it easy by taking deep evenly and slow breath this helps to relax the body and ground us in the moment. Being mindful of our body when it's cold, when we are stress or even when you're exercising we tend to tense the body and also forget to inhale and exhale.

To fill the body with air is a powerful tool and it's free, when we become mindful in times like these it's a big help to the health of the body.

I've been more mindful as of late and my back does not hurt like it use to and i am not as stress out because i have allow a more even flow of oxygen to fill and ease the daily wear and tear that my body endures each day.

There are so many things to be mindful of each day.

Coastal Scents

This is my first time ordering from Coastal Scents and to be honest the prices are out the door good. Sample pigments are $1 each and you get a lot of product for $1 it's almost like buying a jar of eye shadow.

I was looking for a violet pigment to add to my moisturizer for a little dewy effect. So i decided to look around and pick up a few other things and i am happy that i did.

Pearl violet a soft violet shine to add radiance to skin, Paradise gold for highlighting, satin pearl also for highlighting and for brow bone and tear duct, and satin bronze for the eyes and highlighting.

Duo Shadow Pencil
I was looking for a cream and bronze pencil for my waterline and the prices in stores lets just say not what i wanted to pay, and at $2.95 at Coastal Scents i had to get a few of these.

After i swatch these on my hand i wash my hand with soap and i could still see then, so it looks like they may have good staying power and they are soft so that is a plus. I am in love with all the colors i will be having some fun with them.

Shipping was fast i ordered over the weekend and got my order on Wednesday.

Lived in Scent

I was at the mall over the weekend, and you know this one store with the shirtless guys on the picture you know the one with the cute porch and the dim cozy lights inside, it’s such an inviting space.

So i don’t know how they do this but they always have a signature scent in the store including the cloths it’s not too loud and it leans more to what a guy would smell like, like his favorite white tee's that you’ll wear to bed when he is out of town, a rather clean and lived in scent.

June 22, 2011

June 22, 2011 is the date that i purchase kyphi from eleneetha and Nov 2, 2011 i was looking for my new batch of kyphi that i got a few days ago and stumble upon an unused chunk of what looks like kyphi to my surprise it was still good a little hard on the outside but inside was still sticky and gooey. I was talking to a friend about this the other day when we hide things from ourselves, and i am good for that.

So i burn some last night my brother said it smelled like an herbal smoke hint hint, but it smelled like kyphi to me still smelled good and set the pace for my night sleep.

October Super Fragrant Coconut Cream Soap

I took a bath yesterday in the plushest bubbles ever, i so miss homemade bar soap. The scent on this one is very complex, a very newly made cedar chest not the faded one that your grandmother has up in the attic, but newly made and freshly carved.

And in this cedar chest you store all your forbidden herbs, root, moss and resin.
